1(one) position in Jakarta Country Office

 

 

ROLE PURPOSE:

As a member of the Accounting team,  Accounting Assistant shares in the overall responsibility for the direction and coordination of the finance duties and responsibilities.

 

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Accountant 

Number of direct reports: N/A

Budget Responsibility: N/A

 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

Contribute to accounting monthly closing and reporting process as follows:

  • Perform bank reconciliation and single account reconciliation in Agresso.
  • Perform monthly cash opname.
  • Perform quarterly stock check and reconciliation in coordination with Logistics Department.
  • Ensure all soft files (GLACOS & Agresso report) saved in Shared drive.
  • Ensure all report files (monthly finance review, monthly control checklist, year-end return) signed, filed and saved in Shared drive.
  • Maintain assigned KPI at green level
  • Prepare accruals, particularly for recurring expenses.
  • Perform bank reconciliation and single account reconciliation in Agresso.
  • Ensure all soft files such as GLACOS & Agresso report, bank reconciliation, monthly BVA, and other financial reports saved in Shared drive.
  • Prepare invoice for corporate donor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • Education Degree in Accounting and/or Finance Management.
  • Work Experience (in years) 3 to 5 years.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and AGRESSO Financial Management System.
  • Good command of English, verbal and written.
  • Experience with financial and grants management.
  • Ability to solve problems, show initiative and work independently.
  • Respond to requests, queries in timely and customer oriented manner.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good knowledge on Indonesia taxation.
  • Attention to detail, particularly with regards to expense transactions and financial reporting.

Contribute to the overall implementation of Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP) within the response including ensuring CSP integration in all project activities including for target beneficiaries. Any other task & responsibilities given by the Supervisor and to comply with Save the Children and Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik’s policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
